K-GMT Science Program Users Meeting 2019
** News: Presentation Files are available from the Program (2019.3.8)
We, on behalf of all members of Center for Large Telescopes (CfLAT) in Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) and the Organizing Committees, cordially invite you all to the “K-GMT Science Program Users Meeting 2019”.
This will be the 3rd Users Meeting but the first one after the official agreement of KASI signed in July 2018 to become a new International Participant in the Gemini Observatory starting from January 2019. It is indisputable that the previous two Users Meetings were very successful to motivate more scientific products and to collect opinions from Korean researchers as well as international collaborators. We aim to keep the Users Meeting alive with active research talks, exchange of interesting ideas in addition to celebrating the accomplishments with all community members.
We also aim to use the 3rd K-GMT Science Program Users Meeting as an opportunity to introduce the new observing modes made available to Korean Gemini users as well as new capabilities of MMT. We hope you can share your scientific results, progress, and observing plans of your new project with other community users. We welcome prospect and potential future users (e.g., graduate students), too. Especially, Korean YAM will organize special sessions for young researchers during the meeting.
Some important keywords of the meeting are as below.
► Scientific Results from K-GMT Science Program
— CFHT, AAT, UKIRT, etc.
► Current Status and Future Plan of K-GMT Science Program
► Synergy with Other Major Facility Programs (e.g., KMTNet, ALMA, JCMT, Subaru, etc.)
Registration is closed. We would like to note that there is no registration fee this time.
